The IBEX 35 Index is a stock market benchmark that tracks the performance of 35 of the most liquid stocks traded on the Bolsa de Madrid's Continuous market. It is a capitalization-weighted free-float index. As of December 29, 1989, the IBEX 35 index had a base value of 3000.
